Peter Brown is a British Impressionist painter , a Manchester graduate now living and working in Bath, who has developed a plein air style never relying on photographic images. His lively open air style where he enjoys the interaction with passersby has led to his being popularly known as ” Pete the Street” ! He was elected to the New English Art Club in 1998. In addition he is a formidable portrait painter and in 2008 won the Prince of Wales Award for Portrait Drawing. His work is regularly seen in art Galleries in Cardiff where he has spent much time capturing the life of the city and its surroundings.
