Kevin Sinnott

Kevin Sinnott is a contemporary artist born in Sarn, South Wales and educated at Cardiff Collge of Art, Gloucestershire College of Art and the Royal College of Art. Having worked in London and Europe he returned to Wales in 1995 where he has become established in the forefront of the renaissance in Welsh painting.While his work is substantially concerned with human relationships there is an enduring influence of the South Wales landscape .

He has recently opened a stunning modern gallery in Pontycymmer which houses his most recent paintings .These latest works illustrate formative historical events located within the towns and valleys of South Wales translating them into the narrative history of Pontycmmer and its surroundings.

In 2007 he was elected to the Royal Cambrian Academy.He is recognised internationally with paintings housed all over the world from The Metropolitan Museum , New York to The National Museum of Wales in which the ever popular “Running Away with the Hairdresser” may be seen.
