Sue Shields is an illustrator whose work has appeared in magazines, from the Radio Times and Good Housekeeping to House and Garden and Shakespeare’s Globe magazine. Her work has advertised the accounting firm Ernst and Young, and the Bristol and West Building society. She has illustrated books for Heinemann Publishers, Penguin and Walker Books, and illustrated ceramic murals, cards, tea towels, mugs and historically accurate model books for Marks and Spencer. Her poster poems for the Welsh Arts Council have been recently re issued by Graffeg. Her teaching at both Cardiff and Newport art schools was as a point 5 senior lecturer. This meant, she says, that she had the perfect mix of teaching and doing.
