Content: This work was ainted at 38 Brunswick Square, London, the home of Bloomsbury Group members Virginia Woolf, Duncan Grant, Adrian Stephen, Leonard Woolf and John Maynard Keynes. The sitter was a friend of the poet Rupert Brooke (1887-1915) and a member of the Bloomsbury set. She died in 1934. The work is signed and dated top left. Presented to the National Museum of Wales in 1965.
