Notes: A series of four works by Ron Carlson was purchased for CASW in 1989 by the former Secretary of State for Wales, Lord Crickhowell. All four works depict the making of music. Carlson was born in Newport and attended Newport College of Art and the Royal College. He subsequently became a Senior Lecturer at Newport College of Art. His work is represented in the Arts Council of Wales collection.
