Notes: Charles Burton is one of the last of the Rhondda Group: students including Ernest Zobole, David Mainwaring and Gwyn Evans who all attended Cardiff College of Art in the early 1950's. Hewas a precocious winner of the National Eisteddfod Fine Art Gold Medal at the age of 24. At the time of the Print Project the only work of his in the CASW collection was Rhondda Landscape purchased in 1951. A large painting has since been added to the collection. The print was produced at the University of Glamorgan with the assistance of Christopher Nurse.
