Notes: Brendan Burns trained at Cardiff and the Slade, subsequently gaining a PhD at the Uiniversity of Glamorgan, where he is now Lecturer. He has twice won the Eisteddfod Gold Medal. His works recreate nature by using layers of paint and wax to give a semi-transparent effect.
