Notes: Mary Lloyd Jones paints the bones of the landscape, most often the landscape of the Rheidol Valley best known to her. Over those bones she drapes the skin of human history, the marks we have left on the landscape. She sometimes incorporates markings that seen to be from an ancient language, Celtic or otherwise. Mary is drawn to the use of colour, as is evident in her monograph The Colour of Saying, and in this print for October, which was also produced by Master Printmaker Paul Croft.
