Notes: Tony Steele-Morgan became well known in Wales in the 1970s for his painstaking Surrealist paintings which assemble objects symbolically within landscapes. He attended Newport College of Art as a mature student from 1967 to 1971. He had solo exhibitions at the Portal Gallery in London, at Oriel in Cardiff, and in Newport and Nottingham. He was extensively represented in the Arts Council of Wales Collection.
