Content: This painting assimilates many of the symbols with which Christine Kinsey has been working for a number of years. She is attracted to early Renaissance paintings from Tuscany, and here the colours she uses, the rich blues, reds and yellows (all primary), recall this period. The title of the piece may be a reference to the Visitation, a theme frequently explored in Tuscan art.
