Craig Lewis

Craig lives and works in the South Wales valleys and won CASW’s student of the year award in 2021. He was shortlisted for the Welsh Artist of the Year Award in 2010. He combines painting, mixed media and digital art to explore the boundaries between painting and the digital.

Stuart Lewis

A photographer as well as a painter, Craig’s brother Stuart is based in Mountain Ash in South Wales’ Cynon Valley. He describes himself as a ‘fluid painter’, working with acrylic paint along with accessories to produce ‘explosive and emotive works of art’.

Craig focuses his talk on Untitled, Image 1, a work in which he blends expressionist abstract painting on recycled canvases with geometric digital constructions.

      Stuart talks about the technique he uses for his acrylic pourings. Battle for Dominance, Image 4, resulted from a two-colour pouring. Craig blew on the paint to create the final image.
